Are you an experienced hardware engineer looking for a challenging opportunity to contribute to the future of business aviation? PDS Tech is seeking a talented Hardware Engineer to join our team, helping develop and sustain advanced avionics products. You will play a key role in the Qualification and Verification testing of our cutting-edge avionics systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as FAA and MIL-STD .

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and Execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on avionics products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Plan and Execute Design Verification testing on avionics products, ensuring they meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Prepare Test Reports that document results and ensure products meet necessary regulatory compliance for certification (e.g., FAA ).
Assist in Product Certification processes for customer and regulatory acceptance.
Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for simulation, analysis, and testing.
Lead investigations related to the replacement of obsolete components , ensuring solutions meet product specifications.
Troubleshoot and debug complex digital circuit designs , resolving any issues that arise during testing.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
4+ years of experience in Hardware/Product Engineering , particularly in avionics.
Experience with Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification, ensuring products meet rigorous standards.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with Product Safety principles for airborne electronic hardware.
Experience with Product Qualification guidance standards , including DO-160 , MIL-STD-461 , and MIL-STD-810 .
Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD).
Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging .
Familiarity with serial data communication standards such as ARINC 429 , RS232 , and I2C .
Experience using optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization.
Ability to apply basic engineering techniques to optimize designs and systems.
Excellent communication skills , with the ability to clearly document and communicate findings.

Pay Details: $57.00 per hour
