Aerotek Sheet Metal Installer in Phoenix, Arizona

Compensation: Negotiable based off years of experience

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Apprentice, Journeyman or Foreman level sheet metal installers. With a minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial and Industrial Construction. Applicants should be motivated, self-started, have a good attitude. Must be able to measure jobs, run a crew, forecast job while on them, fabricate in the field.

Scope of work includes: Installing hanging straps, installing round and rectangular ducting, installing uni-strut hangers, air-handlers, ductless split systems while working on ladders & scissor lifts occasionally

Basic job description:

1) Install assemblies, such as flashing, pipes, tubes, heating and air conditioning ducts, furnace casings, in supportive frameworks.

2) Select gauges and types of sheet metal or non-metallic material, according to product specifications.

3) Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.

4) Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.

5) Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have sheet metal experience.

• Must have commercial and industrial experience.

• Must have install experience of rectangle, square, round, and spiral, rigid, and flex duct work experience

• Ability to handle sheet metal tools and equipment

• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces

• Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship a plus.

• Valid Drives License.

• OSHA 10 or 30 a plus

• Must be able to work individually and with a team to complete an interior commercial project, start to finish

• Must be able to complete high quality work under tight deadlines.

• Must have reliable transportation
