Job Overview:

As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing & Ecommerce, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Leslie’s strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will lead the development and execution of the overall marketing and ecommerce strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals to enhance brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

In this critical role, you will oversee ecommerce, marketplace, and marketing divisions. This roll will position Leslie’s as a market leader while shaping the digital customer experience. With a data-driven and innovative approach, you will build a world-class marketing and digital organization within a fast-paced, public company environment. As a key leader, you will also foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that aligns with Leslie’s vision and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and ecommerce strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports company growth initiatives.

  • Oversee the development and execution of brand positioning, messaging, and communication strategies to elevate brand visibility and reputation.

  • Lead strategies to attract, retain, and engage customers, optimizing marketing channels such as digital, social media, traditional media, and direct marketing.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive loyalty programs that drive customer engagement and increase customer lifetime value of our Pool Perks members.

  • Manage and optimize the company’s Snowflake / Power BI platform driving towards faster insight delivery.

  • Oversee the P&L of ecommerce looking to maximize the contribution of our digital channels.

  • Own the digital roadmap and continual prioritize the initiatives to deliver a seamless ecommerce experience.

  • Analyze marketing and ecommerce data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.

  • Measure and report on performance against key metrics across marketing and ecommerce.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing and ecommerce team, fostering innovation, creativity, and collaboration.

  • Work closely with merchant, store, and technology teams to ensure efforts are aligned with product launches, sales strategies, and customer experiences.

  • Present marketing and ecommerce plans and performance updates to the board of directors, executive team, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10-15+ years of progressive marketing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, SVP, CMO, CDO) within a public company or fast-growing organization.

  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, brand management, customer engagement, and data analytics in a competitive marketplace.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including board members and investors.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience in leveraging marketing metrics and KPIs to drive decision-making.

  • Ability to translate business objectives into innovative marketing strategies and campaigns.

  • Familiarity with regulations and compliance standards related to marketing, advertising, and customer data protection in a public company environment.
