Honeywell Senior Manager Portfolio Management, Air & Thermal Controls in Phoenix, Arizona
Air & Thermal Controls (A&TC) is a $2B Gold Business Enterprise (GBE) within the Control Systems Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. A&TC offers a wide range of air management and thermal control products and services to Honeywell customers, including aircraft manufacturers, operators, and agencies of the U.S. Government as well as to foreign militaries.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Manager, Portfolio Management – Air & Thermal Controls, you will play a critical role in driving growth and profitability for Honeywell Aerospace Technologies’ Air Delivery offerings. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our strategic direction, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market share expansion. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our portfolio and capture opportunities in high-growth sectors, while ensuring achievable plans are in place to deliver on our current year financial objectives. These activities will include elements of Product Lifecycle Management, market analysis, product development execution, portfolio analysis, portfolio rationalization, product road mapping, and inventory planning among other related portfolio activities. Your strong leadership skills across functional disciplines, strategic thinking, and market insights will be essential in driving the success of our business.

Ideal Candidate Experience
5+ years in product management, offering management, product development, business management, engineering, or related roles driving growth within a portfolio
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills, with a track record of driving impactful results
Effective product lifecycle management delivering on revenue and margin goals
Ability to identify growth industry segments, and architect and execute plans to grow presence in the space
Cross-functional team leadership developing / launching new offerings in growth industries
Data analysis (e.g., 80-20) assessing business performance and implementing portfolio actions to address
Developing and implementing portfolio blueprint process improvements and new business models to achieve maturity
Implementing pricing and go-to-market strategies maximizing revenue and market share
Knowledge of aircraft environmental control systems or thermal management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Roadmap Development
Develop and execute the overall strategy for the company’s product portfolio encompassing both existing and new offerings
Understand market needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to define the direction HON offerings should take.
Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability
Product Lifecycle Management
Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the portfolio, from concept development through end-of-life decisions
Collaborate with cross functional teams (e.g., R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to define product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and product differentiation strategies
Monitor product performance metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, and make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio performance
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market dynamics
Foster collaboration and alignment across functions to drive portfolio growth and profitability
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to drive co-development opportunities and enhance product offerings
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the portfolio
Stay in touch with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
Champion a culture of innovation and excellence within the offering management team, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning
For California, the annual base salary range for this position is $182,000 - $228,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Experience in managing a portfolio of products / projects / investments
Proven track record of driving portfolio growth and capturing market opportunities
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision making abilities
Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify and pursue growth opportunities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
