As a Senior SAP Business Systems Analyst, you will analyze and document business processes, identify and implement SAP solutions, optimize system utilization, drive process improvements, and support key projects while ensuring alignment with industry trends.

What You'll Do

  • Interview process owners and subject matter experts to document existing business processes and pain points

  • Find solutions within SAP to meet business needs, requirements, or challenges

  • Analyze processes and toolsets to ensure we are maximizing our SAP footprint

  • Document functional business process requirements and collaborate with SMEs and team members to define desired future state process within our ERP system, SAP (or similar ERP, P2P or ECM system)

  • Create process flow maps (using Visio) to provide a visual overview of as-is and to-be processes

  • Apply a transformation mindset to process improvement, with the ability to move easily from the “small details” to “the big picture”

  • Stay on top of ERP industry trends and changes and apply them to transform current capabilities and processes

  • Identify and escalate process risks and build mitigation into future state process models

  • Use root cause analysis to diagnose process issues, then work with team members and leaders to create a plan to address

  • Develop a high level of subject matter expertise in functional area to bridge requirements and IT solutions

  • Work with QA to develop functional test plans and user acceptance test plans, cases and scenarios

  • Occasionally provide process knowledge to assist trainers and product owners in development of training and job aids

  • Provide analytical support for important corporate projects

  • Responsible for creating/updating SAP landscape/architecture diagrams and determining how changes in the overall IT landscape will affect SAP

  • Be a champion for SAP and ensure we are getting the most out of our ERP

  • Responsible for proactively researching and configuring new SAP functionality with the assistance of the SAP functional team that will assist the business in daily operations

  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 5+ years prior enterprise level business analysis, including: process definition, requirements gathering and documentation, use cases, work flow and gap analysis

  • Experience with waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Prior experience with SAP (or similar ERP, P2P or ECM system), including ability to create reports and analyze data

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodology desirable

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment

  • Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice

  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
