As part of the Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions group (EDDS), the Enterprise Acquisition Products and Platforms team (EAPP) is constantly evolving how we serve and meet the needs of our customers. Digital acquisition is one of Amex’s top priorities. Core to delivering on this priority are card, loan, banking, and payment application and onboarding experiences that enable a positive and engaging experience for customers to apply for our products. In addition to an enormous emphasis on users and usability, our team is responsible for growing new accounts acquired and accounts receivable, by increasing application completions and approvals.

How will you make an impact in this role?

In this role, you will partner with teams such as Marketing, Technology, and Analytics, to deliver value that directly contributes to the success of our company. You will anticipate capabilities needed to address regulatory requirements, streamline the application process, and simplify the jobs of our customer service team. You will do this by understanding the differences and similarities of our user’s mindsets and goals across markets and channels.

Responsibilities

  • Learning, understanding and advocating for our external customer and internal users’ needs

  • Translating requirements into coherent user stories using agile tools and methods

  • Delivering the product roadmap and capabilities in collaboration with go-to-market, engineering and design functions, often coordinating with other delivery teams

  • Partnering with engineering and design functions throughout the product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery and ongoing iteration

  • Driving delivery by trouble-shooting issues, de-mystifying complex needs and leading planning cycles in partnership with your leader and agile champions

  • Help prioritize feature backlog to ensure that work focuses on the most impactful platform improvements

  • Perform research to continuously uncover opportunities and brainstorm new solutions across card, loan, and banking products and across consumer, small business, and corporate customers

  • Measure time to market and product team efficiency to understand impact of platform capabilities

  • Continually stay abreast of new digital platform trends and customer needs and the changing regulatory, competitive, and technological landscape across global markets

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 years of experience with product management

  • Highly motivated with strong sense of accountability, initiative, and a "can-do" attitude

  • A passion for technology, proficient in investigating customer needs and problems; Readiness to contribute ideas on product design, project management and technical solutions.

  • Understanding of data management, software performance monitoring and analytics

  • Strong ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and synthesize information to determine product issues, priorities, and opportunities

  • Demonstrated knowledge or aptitude for project/program management, ability to define and improve processes

    • Strong written & verbal communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships, and navigate and influence decisions with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders and vendors
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment,navigating ambiguous or unstructured problems and influencing without direct authority, among peers and with leaders, to drive desired outcomes

  • Experience working on projects within the Agile Framework University Degree preferred, Business, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Design, or equivalent work experience

**Qualifications** Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
