Job Summary:

This role in the Avnet Salesforce CoE reports into the Salesforce Program Manager to support the development of Avnet Global Salesforce systems. This includes effective maintenance of the system, user adoption and experience and development of efficient CRM processes and tools. The job holder will have a broad understanding of the business and will work across all business units to support the effective development of Salesforce capabilities globally.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Review and deliver CRM system functionality developments, change requests and user enhancements identified by 1st line CRM system support and pro-active discussions with key stakeholders.

  • Create and document business requirements by working together with users of all levels including stakeholders in the development of program enhancements and changes including staff, outside consultants and suppliers as needed.

  • Responsible for the roll-out of Salesforce systems to new functions including needs, processes and reports identification along with stakeholder management, training development and delivery of training.

  • Supporting the testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments and coordinating actual testing. Assess impacts and align and approve change requests through the global governance process.

  • Daily administration and support of Salesforce including managing multiple user setup, profiles and roles, customization of objects, fields and record types / page layouts.

  • Produce and maintain reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity and assist users with report design and management.

  • Provide direction for commercial processes and ways of working to drive greater efficiency across the organization based on innovation and best in class practices.

  • Drive agreed GIS requirements in conjunction with subject matter experts and GIS project managers to deliver aligned functionality with appropriate communication, training and reporting.

  • Responsible for driving end user engagement and adoption through training and outbound communications.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.

  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.

  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.

  • Actions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals. Erroneous decisions may have a prolonged effect resulting in the expenditure of substantial resources.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Position may require the ability to travel

  • Previous experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud is required

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator or similar role configuring and customizing Salesforce

  • Salesforce.com certification(s) (e.g., Administrator, Advanced Administrator) is a plus!

  • Experience within the electronics / technology / consumer goods industry

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, able to cope with multiple projects and reliably hit deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
