Job Description
Danfoss has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager-Water/Wastewater with our Danfoss Drives Segment in the western region of the USA. The Regional Sales Manager will identify, develop, and win business at assigned key accounts and meet forecast sales goals. They will also lead the customer acquisition efforts in major strategic sales programs as well as build and maintain strong partnerships with Danfoss Water/Wastewater customers.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Manage and develop the Water business at assigned accounts utilizing Danfoss’ value selling sales processes and programs.
Develop customer relationships and act as primary field sales representative for Danfoss, driving growth in specific accounts and/or a designated geographical area.
Develop and enhance a network of Consulting Engineers across the industry and leverage the understanding of their role in the sales processes.
Obtain a deep and comprehensive understanding of the customer’s structure, products and decision-making processes and create a rapport with all levels of customers.
Ensure that Danfoss provides a “Unique Customer Experience” by orchestrating all Danfoss relations and contacts to the customer.
Responsible for comprehending and communicating the technical and commercial aspects of the Danfoss’ Water/Wastewater platform and offerings.
Lead the coordination of sales activities related to assigned territory and/or customers across Danfoss business segments, as required by sales management

Minimum requirements for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent years of industry experience.
3+ years of experience in a customer facing technical sales role. Experience selling variable frequency drives and/or rotating equipment to customers in the water and wastewater markets is preferred.
Knowledge and pre-existing relationships within the Water/Wastwater industries in the Northeastern region of the USA is a plus.
Experience working with Customer Relationship Management and sales management systems
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Self-motivated with a drive to achieve goals beyond what is required.
Business acumen around sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning.
Ability to listen, gain trust and bring to closure an action, project, resolution, or sales opportunity with customers.
Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns and determine appropriate solutions.
Strong process discipline, ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue.
Travel requirement 60% primarily in the US with some internationally as required.
