Responsibilities As a Program Manager (Transmission Lines Maintenance), some of your duties will include: Develops detailed Transmission Line Maintenance plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules that ensure proper sequence of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the life cycle of Transmission Lines programs/projects. Reviews Transmission Lines Maintenance programs/projects to determine how to accomplish them with minimal disruption to workers and mission operations, directions, and schedules. Manages and ensures reliable power systems, transmission lines and facilities operations and activities through subordinate Foremen, skilled crafts people, and/or contracted workers at various, geographically dispersed, multistate, locations. Supervises design of replacement installations, purchasing and procurement of electrical equipment, and materials. Guides subordinates preparing technical specifications for major equipment replacement, repair, and existing facilities modifications. Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-12 or Foreman II] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in Maintenance, Construction or Design of High Voltage transmission lines; -OR- Experience leading a group of employees engaged in the troubleshooting, maintenance or construction of high voltage transmission lines. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education There are no specific education requirements or substitution of education for experience for this position.
