Job Summary

The Operations Analyst assists in managing overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Company. Enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand business opportunities. The Operations Manager reports directly to the President and supports several directors/managers within the company while performing daily duties. He/she interacts with contractor personnel to provide guidance, leadership, and direction; identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions; supervisor to program staff regarding operations; implements and provides guidance related to processes, policies, and oversees the work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned):

Must be able to perform the following:

  • Manage company Applicant Tracking System
  • Work with Business Development (BD) and Program Management (PM) Leads to create and maintain Position Descriptions (PDs)
  • Post and maintain job postings on various sites to maximize exposure
  • Develop and maintain recruiting process to include creative recruiting programs
  • Attend job fairs, tradeshows, and customer events
  • Proposal planning, managing and coordination
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline employees
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
  • Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
  • Maintain BD SharePoint sites

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business or related discipline preferred; relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as an office/operations manager preferred

  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

Security Clearance

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
