Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing all microbiology and environmental related testing tasks listed below. Maintain accurate records of tests. Maintain accurate inventory of lab supplies. Perform equipment maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform Environmental Monitoring of Cleanrooms
• Perform routine Microbiological tests on samples for incoming inspection and product release.
• Perform Gram staining of microbial isolates.
• Perform microbial identifications as needed.
• Perform incoming release tests for new lots of lab supplies (growth promotion, organism qualification, VITEK card qualification)
• Gives gowning training to new hires.
• Maintain accurate lab records.
• Review lab data as needed.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Monitor adequate inventory of lab supplies.
• Properly dispose of outdated lab supplies
• Maintain files of supplier certificates of analysis
• Adhere to all Company policies.
• Always follow procedures.
• Use good housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area.
• Follow all safety rules and safety procedures.
• Work on special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required and /or assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School or Equivalent
• Less than 3 years’ experience
