EXOS Mental Performance Coach in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Summary:

Exos is seeking an experienced Mental Performance Coach with expertise in group facilitation and leadership development to work with corporate teams and individuals (including executives and senior leaders at Fortune 100-500 companies). Our team building, executive immersion, and personal development programs and events strive to ignite sustainable cultures of high performance and well-being, by unlocking capabilities that help balance the demands of work and life.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the science behind human performance to make a direct impact on the organizations Exos supports, as well as to play a key role in the expansion of our Professional + Team Development programs.

This is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ, reporting to the Director of Mental Performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver a variety of effective virtual and in-person programming, including: group facilitation, 1:1 consults, educational webinars, asynchronous chat and other services. Encourage high levels of active engagement in both group and individual settings.

  • Lead workshops, events, and team-building sessions using advanced facilitation techniques to improve communication, alignment, and cohesion.

  • Drive meaningful discussion, discovery, change and a transformative experience for all participants.

  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and innovation among team members by challenging participants to fully immerse themselves in the delivered content.

  • Develop personalized coaching plans that integrate team building and leadership development strategies for both individuals and teams.

  • Deliver engaging keynote speeches that help set the tone for Exos’s live events.

  • Support/lead the creation of future curriculum for leadership programs and contribute to content creation, such as writing articles and serving as talent for media creation, to share expertise and insights with a broader audience.

  • Take an active role in providing feedback and recommendations as we continue to expand and evolve our offerings.

  • Instruct, motivate, and assist participants in a safe, legal, moral, ethical manner to achieve their goals.

  • Ensure the highest level of Exos methodology is represented in the delivery of all services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five (5) years of mental performance, sports psychology, executive or leadership coaching experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years leading and managing others in the workplace.

  • BA/BS Psychology, Sports Psychology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology or Sports Science-related degree.

  • Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology, Psychology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Sports Science or related field.

  • At least one current coaching certification or accreditation surrounding executive, lifestyle or leadership coaching (i.e. Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), ICF Certified Executive Coach, Flow Research Collective, Korn Ferry, BetterUp, etc.).

  • Strong public speaking skills - you are a powerful verbal and written communicator, able to take complex concepts and communicate them appropriately for our audience.

  • Excellent video presence, with experience engaging both small and large groups virtually.

  • Knowledge of (and experience with) group facilitation and motivational interviewing.

  • Knowledge and practical application of Exos methodology or Executive/Leadership Coaching systems

  • Ability to travel as needed for events and workshops.

  • Energetic and emotionally intelligent, with a strong passion for helping others achieve their goals!
