As the Manager of Direct Procurement, you will manage various sourcing and market engagement projects related to direct materials and services, with a focus on fleet and heavy equipment procurement. You will work to reduce costs, optimize supplier relationships, and manage key vendor relationships across the organization.
What You'll Do
Determine, propose and drive cost-reduction and supplier optimization opportunities based upon dynamic evaluation of company-spend (equipment, materials, subcontractors, commodities, etc.)
Lead procurement efforts related to fleet and heavy equipment, ensuring alignment with company needs and industry best practices.
Create and manage RFP’s / RFQ’s, particularly for heavy equipment and fleet-related purchases
Provide structure for departmental cost savings and cost/risk avoidance initiatives
Oversee complex strategic sourcing projects with significant stakeholder interface, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Negotiate structured supplier agreements and contracts to secure optimal terms.
Managing key vendor relationships
Solicit and analyze vendor proposals for varied and occasionally complex materials and services
Determining vendor selection in the context of a team environment, leading formal business reviews with key suppliers
Travel occasionally between offices nationwide as needed
Other duties as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline
5+ years’ experience in a direct supply chain, sourcing and/or procurement role; experience focusing on fleet and heavy equipment procurement preferred
2+ years’ experience establishing and growing supply chain vendor relationships
Willingness to collaborate across different functions

Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
