Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance of production equipment. Your role will include backing up other maintenance personnel on projects, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical/electrical system issues, and ensuring minimal production downtime. You will be responsible for following a preventive maintenance schedule, keeping accurate repair records, and identifying and troubleshooting sources of mechanical failures. Furthermore, you will be expected to conduct trials, report results, and obtain all necessary documents for device calibration. Availability on an on-call basis is also required.
Hard Skills
Troubleshooting and diagnostic experience on automated production machinery
Maintenance of electrical systems - 240/480 volt, single or 3 phase, and DC 24 Volt systems, frequency drives, load cells, power distribution, motors, controls
Maintenance of mechanical systems - motors, bearings, belts, gear boxes, and pneumatic systems
Troubleshooting and fixing/replacing servo or stepper motors, mechanical arms, controls, small pneumatics
Use of manuals to diagnose and repair custom built equipment
Proficiency in PLC's
Soft Skills
Ability to work on an on-call basis
Ability to maintain neat and accurate repair records
Ability to make recommendations and report problems to supervisor
Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends for mechanical maintenance reports
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Phoenix, Arizona.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position will be at a manufacturing site primarily dealing with custom machinery used for the production of taser cartridges.
