Honeywell Lead SW Engineer for NGA Network in Phoenix, Arizona

As a Next Gen Avionics Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge avionics systems. Your expertise in avionics engineering will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance, reliability, and functionality of our avionics products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and optimize avionics systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, safety, and success of aircraft operations.

You will report directly to our NGA Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop next-generation avionics systems

  • Continually analyze and optimize network performance to ensure optimal results

  • Perform testing and validation of avionics systems to ensure compliance with industry standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network and hardware integration.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in avionics systems/software engineering

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with bus data (ASCB, Safebus, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of avionics systems and industry standards

  • Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
