Job Description

An Insight Global client in the financial services industry is looking for Software Engineers (Java stack) to join their team in Bangalore, India. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be building core features and functions of card transaction systems on distributed platform deployed in the cloud. You will be actively participating in Agile teams and the latest development practices, writing code and unit tests, working with API specs and automation. Software Engineers in this role use Java technologies to drive innovation while also finding opportunities for adopting new technologies.

Skills and Requirements

3-7 years of experience with backend Java OOP and development using Spring / Spring Boot framework.

Hands-on experience with application design, software development and automated testing.

Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs

Strong understanding of databases, both relational and non-relational.

• Relational databases - Oracle, SQL, or DB2

• Non-relational databases - Cassandra or Couchbase

Experience and/or working knowledge of Kafka (message streaming technology).

Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Must be local to Bangalore, India. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Any previous experience within the Financial Services industry.
