A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, Quality Assurance Manager
A typical day for a Software Application Quality Assurance Manager involves coordinating testing activities, managing the QA team, and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle. Their day often begins with a morning stand-up meeting to align team efforts, followed by planning and overseeing the execution of various tests. They track and prioritize bugs, attend project meetings to stay updated on timelines and requirements and focus on continuous improvement by analyzing testing data and refining strategies. Much of their time is spent overseeing the planning, execution, and documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for IT systems and software applications. Additionally, they lead a team of QA professionals, offering mentorship and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Collaboration with development, operations, and compliance teams is crucial to addressing quality issues and effectively implementing corrective and preventive actions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT quality assurance required, with an emphasis on clinical or regulated industries preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards, including GxP, HIPAA, and FDA guidelines.
- Proven expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead QA teams and effectively manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with validation and verification processes for clinical IT systems.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and root cause analyses.
- Familiarity with clinical industry software and quality documentation requirements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present quality metrics to stakeholders.

SCHEDULE/TRAVEL
- Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm, 40 hours per week, exempt position, and working from our Phoenix, AZ office location.
- This position is in office M-F with the p ssibility of traveling 1-2 weeks out of the year.
