Job Summary

Join our Levy Human Resources team at Chase Field, home of the Diamondbacks! As an HR Generalist you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our hourly and management team. We are seeking a motivated individual dedicated to driving initiatives and fostering our Authentic culture.

  • Provides day-to-day support to employees and managers; provides guidance and counseling to managers and employees in the interpretation of policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Conducts HR related functions as part of the employee life cycle (i.e., onboarding, employee experience, terminations, leave of absence, payroll, etc.)

  • Proactively addresses employee concerns and counsel managers to assist in performance management, employee retention, and career development.

  • Handles employee relations matters effectively and in timely manner; including investigations and conflict resolution. Escalates employee relations matters to HR leadership when necessary.

  • Supports performance management for hourly employees by providing guidance on corrective action process, performance management solutions, and assisting with disciplinary meetings if necessary.

  • Conducts New Hire orientations to ensure proper onboarding and compliance.

  • Oversees recruiting requisitions for all hourly employees including proper job descriptions, advertising requisitions, and ensuring compliance with job postings.

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to coordinate recruiting efforts such as sourcing candidates, coordinating partner programs with local schools, and planning hiring events.

  • Ensures proper maintenance of confidential employee information and employee records.

  • Stays current in HR best practices by participating in educational opportunities.

  • Analyzes, interprets, and reports on data such as turnover, survey results, and employee engagement.

  • Oversees 30/60/90-day process for hourly employees; creates action plan and presents data to Senior Leadership.

  • Supports HR initiatives including employee engagement, retention, and programs that support Operations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in employee relations or HR Generalist role.

  • Solid understanding of federal and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple, diverse work assignments with minimal supervision.

  • Detail oriented with strong focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrates high level of integrity and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Proficient in computer skills, Microsoft office, ATS, and HRIS, with strong data analytical capabilities for data entry, report creation, and maintenance purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

  • Experience working in the Sports & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, and/or Hospitality industry preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift, 4 hours or more.

  • Frequent sedentary position in office environment.

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 25 lbs.
