Job Description

A client in the Financial Services industry is seeking a Fullstack Java / React Engineer to join its CTO organization. The role of this Engineer will be both building user interfaces and backend APIs and capabilities. Preference is someone that leans backend with stronger Java. Additionally, they will be developing technical solutions to enhance the internal teams platforms, frameworks and capabilities around web governance. Consuming and exposing data, someone who has understanding around scalable relational and NoSQL databases. This will involve acting as a core member of an agile scrum team writing code and unit tests, working with API specs and automation, delivering frameworks and analytical capabilities to business partners, delivering code to production, performing code reviews and pair programming, and working with database engineers to design and maintain relational and NoSQL databases.

Pay for this position is $50-70/hr

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or information technology

5-10 years of software development experience

5-10 years of experience in core Java development and OOP design principles

2+ years of experience building web solutions using JavaScript and React

Experience with building RESTful APIs using Springboot

4+ years of experience with NoSQL and relational databases

Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

Expertise in agile life-cycle management tools (JIRA/Rally), software testing standards, methods and conventions

Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners

2+ years of experience in designing and building solutions using Kafka or other similar messaging queues Experience with machine learning and AI
