Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CIVIL) T32, Position Description Number PDD1519P01and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard. NOTE: Individual selected will receive an Indefinite Appointment and may be converted to permanent based on availability of funds or position no longer being encumbered. Responsibilities This position is located in Phoenix, AZ with the 161ARW. The primary purpose of the position is to provide technical expertise in preparing engineering plans, specifications and cost estimates. Additionally, the incumbent of this position will conduct preliminary, intermediate and final contractual inspections. These activities require application of the basic principles of engineering technology and related disciplines. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: SSgt/E5 - TSgt/E6 Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess an AFSC 3E5XX Qualification Requirements/Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the Specialized Experience OR the Education requirements listed below. Specialized Experience: Must have 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience, education, or training with knowledge of basic standard engineering principles, methods and practices. Experience reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications. Experience planning, scheduling and supervising; exercising initiative and sound judgment. Experience using a variety of inspection techniques and practices to determine compliance with plans and specifications. OR Education: Possess two full years of graduate education or a master's degree directly related to the work of the position work of the position such as engineering and architecture fields. Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts. Education You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
