Note: The starting pay of $50.23 does not reflect the full range which currently goes up to $55.81 per hour. The compensation typically increases quickly within the first two years of successful performance and proven mastery of skills.
Reporting location is at our Headquarters office in Phoenix.

About the Responsibilities
As an Instrumentation & Control Electrician (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/capaz/classspecs/735729?keywords=electrician%20instrumentation&pagetype=classSpecifications) , you would perform a variety of work related to the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of critical electronic equipment and systems associated with CAP checks and turnout structures, pumping plants and ground water recharge projects. You would install, test, repair, inspect, and maintain metering and recording instruments, controlling devices, data logging, and display equipment including PLC's, HMI's, SCADA systems, VFD's, UPS systems, ultrasonic flowmeters, gate and water level metering. You would design, create, install, and maintain various operator interface systems using associated software such as Factory Talk, iFIX, RSLogix, RSLinx, and Ripos under the direction of our engineering department. In-state travel (typically Mon – Thur) may be required.
A few of your specific main responsibilities would include:
Maintaining, testing, repairing and troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic systems.
Connect, configure, troubleshoot, and modify instruments and SCADA systems using a laptop computer.
Economically and efficiently installing and maintaining equipment.
Maintaining electronic and written documentation associated with preventative maintenance activities and tasks, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Reviewing, revising and updating electrical schematics, drawings and diagrams.
Proficiently using tools and equipment common to the trade to adjust, repair, calibrate, install and test electrical equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance, installation, repair, troubleshooting and testing on electrical and electronic equipment and circuits.
About the Qualifications
Having completed a state-certified related electrical apprenticeship, OR possessing the equivalent combination of education, related experience and demonstrated ability; PLUS at least three (3) years of journeyman-level work experience in an industrial electrical environment with technical and specialized knowledge is required to be successful in this position. Also, a valid driver's license, good driving record, and a high school diploma (or GED) are required.
Experience reading schematics and wire diagrams; using PCs to configure, test, and repair systems; and/or experience with Flowmeter installation, repair, and maintenance, iFIX, Factory Talk, RSLogix, RSLinx are a plus.
