Job Title: Assistant Automation Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with design submittals and as-built documents as needed.

• Assist the engineering team with the development of graphical floorplans and equipment graphics for Building Automation Systems.

• Use industry standard tools to accomplish wide variety of engineering tasks such as customer utility bill analysis, energy benchmarking as well as graphical and database creation on assigned projects

• Adhere to department standards while looking for areas of improvement

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement

• Participate in the development of tools and processes to improve the efficiency of the engineering team

• Assist in meeting project design schedule and effectively communicating priorities to project team.

• Stay up to date with current industry technologies and standards.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, actively pursuing a degree in engineering, or 1+ years working experience in Automation and/or Process Controls.

• IT and BAS certifications and/or demonstrated knowledge a plus

• Must have strong verbal and listening communication skills and excellent telephone and email etiquette as well as a professional friendly demeanor.

• Proven ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with extreme accuracy and adjust to changing priorities.

• The ability to anticipate needs and solve job related problems independently and act with appropriate urgency.

• AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint skills

• Must possess valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle.
