GE Appliances is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and manage sales activities within assigned Retail Independent Dealers and National Accounts in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. This role is integral in driving sales growth, managing account relationships, and optimizing customer satisfaction in a high-performance environment. The territory includes Maricopa, Pinal, and Pima Counties, with some locations extending into adjacent markets. The ideal candidate will reside in or near Phoenix or Tucson.
The ASM will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales experience, including floor merchandising, sales training, pricing and promotional strategies, and ensuring seamless distribution and fulfillment. This role involves regular engagement with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and sales associates to drive results and uphold GE Appliances' brand reputation.

How You'll Create Possibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include:
Representing GE Appliances as a trusted partner by selling and promoting appliances to new and existing retail customers, including national accounts and independent dealers.
Developing and executing territory growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and creating impactful marketing plans to increase sales penetration.
Managing account operations to maximize operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction within the assigned region.
Achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets by executing tailored merchandising and promotional strategies to enhance sell-through and profitability.
Analyzing sales performance using quantitative expertise; generating ROI reports and evaluating margin and pricing strategies.
Preparing and delivering compelling product training sessions and presentations to enhance customer knowledge and sales associate effectiveness.
Generating detailed status reports tracking activity, follow-ups, and progress toward established goals.
Acting as the primary point of contact to resolve customer issues promptly and accurately.
Maintaining a consistent presence in the territory through travel to customer locations, ensuring in-person engagement and support.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
Minimum three (3) years of outside sales experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven record of achieving sales objectives.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to work effectively in both field and home office settings.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing, organizing, and implementing territory sales plans with measurable outcomes.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, management, and peers to achieve shared goals.
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to work independently and proactively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, inventory management, and ROI analysis.
Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques, ensuring the effective execution of marketing initiatives.
Previous experience in GE Appliances sales, retail appliance sales, or related industries.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This role is based in Arizona, with a strong preference for candidates located in the Phoenix market to ensure accessibility to key areas of the territory.
Travel is required to maintain relationships with current and potential customers within the assigned territory.
The ASM will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, enhancing customer experiences, and ensuring the successful execution of GE Appliances' strategic goals.
