ACCO Engineered Systems Area Safety Coordinator in Phoenix, Arizona

JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Safety Department in maintaining department related documentation of training records and provides the department with record keeping support for claims involving injuries, automobile accidents and property damage incidents. Works directly with the Vice President of Corporate Safety to help coordinate and schedule pro-active safety meetings with Regional and Executive Management Teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain safety training records and the safety training log electronically. Maintains Safety documentation and facilitates completion of actions items on ISNetworld and Avetta accounts. Assist in arranging training by communicating to Department Heads as needed. Track GF participation/ performance in safety programs such as tailgate safety meetings. Assist in preparing site-specific safety plans as per customer requirements. Assist in injury management by tracking follow ups and communicating as needed. Provide assistance in worker's compensation claims, automobile claims and property damage claims by gathering and storing all necessary documentation. Maintaining OSHA related documentation by providing monthly safety statistic reports and maintaining the OSHA 300 log. Prepare ad hoc reports as required (e.g., Safety Leadership Team Presentations). Specials projects and or data reports as required (e.g., Audit participation report). Assist in gathering/ completing documentation for pre-qualification packages for project managers to present to general contractors/owners. Assist VP of Safety in coordinating, scheduling, communication and preparation of safety meetings and related tasks. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and computer knowledge: Intermediate to advanced MS Excel/Word - Capable of using Macros, databases, create and format graphs, reports, forms, formulas and functions. E-Mail: knowledgeable in Gmail and google products. Internet - Provide detailed data searches and online applications (e.g. Fed Ex Delivery and ordering of products). Able to edit text: Adobe Writer editing. Ensure 99% data accuracy. Competent writing skills. Attention to detail and ability to organize data. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Experience in construction safety strongly preferred. Strong telephone and customer service skills.
