Description

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager for a long-term contract opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will manage and oversee accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong leadership abilities, and have expertise in both general accounting and software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily accounting operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, maintaining clean and accurate general ledger accounts.

• Utilize accounting software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting.

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and other departments to ensure financial data integrity and accuracy.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial reports are accurate.

• Leverage expertise in balance sheet account reconciliation and credit card reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.

• Implement and manage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly Sage Intacct, to automate and integrate core accounting functions.

• Oversee billing operations and auditing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Manage customer credit applications, ensuring accurate customer records and maintaining strong financial controls.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in financial management and reporting.
