University of Pennsylvania Tenure Track Faculty Position - Assistant Professor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified in Pulmonary and/or Critical Care Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include within the health system and/or VA system, as well as trainee mentorship and participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on the candidate’s research focus.

Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients in the outpatient clinics and/or as an attending on the inpatient service.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from various sources.

Selected candidates will have demonstrated a productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform fundamental lung biology research. Candidates with a research program focused on pulmonary vascular biology or airways biology are particularly encouraged to apply.
