Entry Level Accounting Position- Hybryd (3 days remote, 2 days in Kennett Square Office)

The Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax will prepare sales and use tax returns and personal property tax returns, and analyze realestate and personal property taxes for accuracy and possible appeals. In addition, the Tax Accountant will assist the TaxManager with sales and property tax audits and preparation of documents required for real estate appeals.Responsibilities:

• Prepare sales and use tax returns for multiple states

• Prepare personal property tax returns for multiple states using OneSource Property Tax (OPT) software

• Assist with real estate and personal property appeals

• Assist with sales and use tax audits and personal property tax audits

• Scan and record all personal property and real estate tax bills when received

• Research state sales tax laws and make changes as needed to billings and use tax filings

• Identify refund possibilities as well as exposure issues

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must have strong computer skills including Excel and Word

• Sales and use tax experience a plus

• Personal property tax experience a plus

• Experience with PeopleSoft general ledger and accounts payable, FAS and Jasper report knowledge also beneficial

• Experience with MicroSoft ERP system beneficial

• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

• Possess strong organizational skills and work in a detailed-oriented manner

• Must be able to function effectively in a deadline focused environment

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in accounting or related field desirable. Experience with indirect sales and use tax andpersonal property taxes beneficial.
