STV Incorporated Senior Project Manager - Traction Power in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: JR2543 STV is seeking a Senior Project Manager focused on Traction Power to join our Systems/Security group at our Philadelphia, PA office. The Senior Traction Power Project Manager will lead and oversee complex traction power system projects from conception through completion. This role involves managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

The successful candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in traction power systems, project management, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of traction power projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.

Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, project managers, and other professionals, ensuring the development of technical skills and project management capabilities.

Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support in the design, installation, and commissioning of traction power systems, including substations, power distribution, and control systems.

Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical, financial, and schedule-related challenges.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality assurance protocols.

Procurement Management: Oversee procurement processes, including the selection of contractors, negotiation of contracts, and management of supply chain logistics.

Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities.

Continuous Improvement: Lead post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement improvements in project management practices.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically in traction power systems or related infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of traction power systems, including design principles, equipment specifications, and installation procedures.

Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.

Certifications: PMP, PE (Professional Engineer), or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Compensation Range:$170,236.00 - $226,982.00
