GoBrands, Inc. (d/b/a Gopuff) seeks Senior Manager, Engineering in Philadelphia, PA

Job Duties: Lead teams that are architecting and improving the systems powering the shopping funnel backend at the core of the ecommerce experience across all Gopuff. Build optimized routing systems to efficiently deliver to our customers. Create an end-to-end shopping experience and implement warehouse management systems that enable us to always fulfill our customers' needs. Lead multiple platform teams to deliver business results. Write code for mobile and web applications. Drive successful technology choices through collaboration with empowered teams. Recruit and lead a team of engineers to build quality software that works at scale. Support standard development practices across multiple teams, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns, and test-driven development. Implement and monitor analytics to ensure the accuracy of the business process. Telecommuting permitted - work can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

(1) Experience building scalable, publicly facing websites in a fast paced, Agile environment

(2) Two years of experience managing groups of engineers in business-critical orgs

(3) Experience working with cross-functional teams at all stages of the product lifecycle

(4) Experience conducting code reviews, leading technical discussions, and designing and architecting solutions

(5) Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern web and cloud technologies

(6) Experience facilitating communication between engineering teams in a rapidly changing, collaborative, and iterative product development environment

(7) Experience with message-based, async processing

(8) Experience with microservices and/or distributed systems (5 years)

(9) Experience with web services including REST and HTTP cache-semantics

(10) Experience using Java, Javascript, React, and Node in a production setting (5 years)

(11) Experience with mobile platforms (iOS and Android) (2 years)

(12) Public cloud experience in a production setting (AWS or Azure)
