Job Summary Under supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and working in close cooperation with other study investigators, personnel, and students, this fulltime Study Coordinator/Organizational Coach will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of an NIH-funded trial seeking to increase organizations' use of best practices in HIV prevention programming in up to 32 syringe service programs (SSPs) across the United States. Overall, we are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented, well-organized candidate who has worked with substance-using populations, understands harm reduction perspectives, and feels comfortable working directly with SSPs and other community-based organizations. Essential Functions

Study Coordination Duties: * Assisting with the development and management of data collection systems and study protocols * Overseeing recruitment and retention of SSPs * Contributing to various aspects of data collection and management * Attending regular study meetings * Participating in data analysis and dissemination activities * Administrative tasks as needed * Help to train and supervise students and/or staff working on related projects Organizational Coaching Duties: * With training and support from the study team, working with SSPs to support their implementation of best practices in HIV prevention programming * These coaching activities will be conducted remotely (e.g., by video conferencing) and in person, requiring the willingness and ability to travel independently via ground/air (on average, approximately 30% time) and manage work at multiple sites effectively, meet multiple deadlines, and prioritize and organize tasks Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree in in social work, psychology, public health, nursing, other helping profession, or liberal arts or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. Please review the  Equivalency Chart for additional information. 1-2 years of relevant experience is required. Theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of public health programs and research designs, including experimental/interventional studies, and appropriate evaluations methods. Demonstrated experience with research and project coordination on social and/or behavioral science research studies in public health. Demonstrated experience in research data collection and quality control. Experience with data entry, including knowledge of database, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (e.g., REDCap, MS Word, Excel). Experience maintaining files and keeping research records. Excellent written (using correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation), verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including co-workers, supervisors, investigators, community collaborators, and study participants. Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to work in a changing, multiple demand setting. Demonstrated experience and ability to prioritize a large volume of work and meeting deadlines effectively and accurately. Demonstrated skill in problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse, multisite research team. Thorough knowledge of protocol and goals of studies. Experience with SSPs or related community-based or national harm reduction or drug policy-focused organizations. Minimum of 1 year of experience working directly with SSPs and/or similar community health settings. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in related field preferred but not required. Experience in clinical trials or another health-related programs/re earch preferred. Location University City - Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This position is classified as exempt grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from a minimum of $47,490.00 to a maximum of $71,230.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
