General Job Description This is technical radiology work at the full performance level providing diagnostic x-ray services at the district health centers. An employee in this class reviews requests for radiographs and operates computer related equipment to produce patient diagnosis. Work includes screening patients for x-rays and positioning patient for proper exposure. An employee in this class develops images. Contact with patients, physicians and outside institutions regarding requests for x-rays and/or transfer of images is a significant aspect of the work. Work is performed under the general supervision of a technical superior and involves moderate physical effort and potential hazards.

The Requirements are as follows: 

ANTICIPATED ELIGIBILITY Candidates who meet all eligibility requirements within six months of the application deadline (by 7/19/25) will be admitted to this examination. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list but may not be hired or promoted until all requirements have been satisfied.

 

EDUCATION:

Completion of an approved two-year course in radiology.

AND

CERTIFICATION:

Possession of certification in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology prior to appointment and during tenure of employment as a Radiographer.
