Actalent Pharmacy Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of patient care. Your responsibilities include determining patients' insurance requirements for pre-certification, patient payments, and coverage limitations before patient discharge. You will maintain effective communication with clinical pharmacist, social worker, discharge, and specialty pharmacy program team members to ensure complete and accurate financial information for claim adjudication. Additionally, you will assess coverage and eligibility, handle restrictions/overrides, determine patient copay/out-of-pocket responsibilities, and identify potential issues. Prompt communication of any coverage issues to the clinical practice is essential to facilitate next steps.

Hard Skills

  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience

  • Prior Authorization Experience

  • HS Diploma

  • PTCB certification (required within 90 days)

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The work schedule consists of 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. Start times are flexible, with options for 8am, 8:30am, or 9am starts. The position runs Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required.
