DevOps Eng II/ Linux Admin/ Support Ops

Team

• Converting network from individual devices to central solution

• Different servers running Linux, Kubernetes and docker, run on stripped down version of Linux

• Supporting escalations from field when problems happening with those

Requirements

Top skills:

• Linux – TOP skill. Experience with servers that running on Linux. Ability to go into the command line and look for files & logs.

• Kubernetes – someone who can operate the system and log into the devices, check if things running correctly, and look for error logs.

• Python scripting or similar programming exp.

• Prometheus and Grafana exp for troubleshooting is good to have! Being able to write Prometheus queries/exposure to Grafana dashboards for visualizing data is huge plus

Ideal candidate has good troubleshooting skills. Ability to go in and look at logs and metrics and figure out what part is not working correctly

Nice to Have:

Programming or scripting ability, a lot of diff APIs they work with and dealing with tens of thousands diff devices, automate checks, need to whip up a script to do that.

Communication and people skills are very valuable.
