ARAMARK IT Director - ERP Project Management in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of an ERP system tailored to wholesale distribution within the Correctional Services Commissary industry. As a leading provider of wholesale distribution of food and non-food items to clients who manage correctional institutions? commissaries, this role requires a deep understanding of supply chain and distribution processes in the corrections industry. The ERP system will streamline our operations across regionally disparate distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and smaller warehouses. In addition to the primary responsibility of delivering the ERP system, the Project Manager will also manage smaller IT projects for the team, ensuring all stakeholder communication, project timeline adherence, and budgets managed.

Job Responsibilities

ERP Implementation:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of ERP implementation, from requirements gathering to system configuration, testing, training, and go-live.

  • Manage the system integration partner and their project delivery team to ensure all milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, finance, operations, and IT, to ensure the ERP system meets business needs.

  • Oversee data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure a smooth transition to the new ERP system.

  • Manage relationships with ERP vendors and external consultants, ensuring deliverables are met according to the plan.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with senior management and other key stakeholders regularly to provide project updates, manage expectations, and address any concerns.

  • Facilitate communication between project team members, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Secondary Accountabilities:

  • Manage smaller IT projects, such as system enhancements and other technology initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, status reports, risk logs, and issue logs.

  • Lead project team meetings, track progress, and ensure team members are adhering to deadlines and responsibilities.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and manage any issues that arise during the course of the project.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to project team members, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that promotes continuous improvement and high performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of the ERP implementation and other IT projects.

  • Implement best practices in project management and change management to enhance project delivery and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering ERP implementations or projects equal in size.

  • Experience in wholesale distribution, supply chain, or a similar industry is highly preferred.

  • Experience in the Correctional Services industry is desired.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, including modules related to inventory management, order processing, and financials.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
