Description

We are partnering with a well-respected client to find a talented Human Resource Generalist to come aboard a high performing team. The HR Generalist is responsible for completing a wide variety of assignments to support critical operations of the HR department. Primary responsibilities include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. Major responsibilities:

  • Assists in implementing personnel policies for all staff members.

  • Oversees recruitment processes, including phone screenings, interview coordination with hiring managers, and job offer extensions.

  • Coordinates pre-employment physicals and drug tests post-offer, and processes online background checks for new employees.

  • Facilitates monthly orientations for new hires, covering paperwork, safety and harassment training, and benefits enrollment, ensuring prompt document submission to Payroll.

  • Verifies I-9 documentation and manages electronic data submission via E-verify.

    Requirements

The ideal HR Generalist candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. PHR/SHRM Certification preferred.

Other requirements for the HR Generalist position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years’ work experience required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Past experience with an HRIS system (UKG Pro experience preferred)

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Ability to multitask and to be a self-starter.

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
