The Director, Content Development is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the development of educational/training eLearning content for external Clario clients (sponsors, sites, and patients) and leading our international team.

Remote working What you'll do: Work with HR to recruit, interview, select, hire, and retain an appropriate number of employees to execute all Content Development tasks and responsibilities at expected standards. Lead and develop a team of instructional designers and technical writers; hold regular meetings, coach and develop team members, and monitor performance. Manage the development of all training deliverables for studies including self-paced eLearning, live training presentations, and study documents. Explore and implement new techniques, processes, or systems of content development for both internal training and customer training, in support of analysis, career development, and strategic goals and initiatives. Define, implement, and maintain a capacity planning model for all functional areas of responsibility that is efficient and supports proper forecasting and hiring practices. Ensure adherence to department Standard Operating Procedures, regulatory compliance and good clinical practices compliance. Foster cross-functional relationships with business development, product management, and operations teams to support the delivery of education programs for sponsors, sites, and patients. Establishes strategic Content Development goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends such as AI and options related to future planning; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes. Establish, implement and maintain quality standards for all aspects of content development. Manage the development of training content for in-person, virtual, and self-paced training environments for external Clario users to address device, system, and application use. Content must be efficient, consistent, engaging and meet Clario standards of excellence. As needed, develop training content for external Clario users to address device, system, and application use. Manage team development expenses in accordance with Clario policy and department budget in a manner that is cost-effective. Collaborate with the Training Operations team on scheduling of content development and ensure that all scheduling is done in an efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner. Manage team assignment and deliverable timelines. Maintain accountability with the team for on-time delivery and delivery within budgeted development hours. Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the team to succeed. Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective. Fosters a Learning Culture within the department. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.

What w look for:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Adult Education or Adult Learning or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 - 7 years experience leading an instructional design or eLearning development team Proven leadership skills and an ability to collaborate and organize a team to effectively accommodate internal and external client needs and deadlines. Understanding of metric management, SOP development, systems implementation and multi-site management. Demonstrate excellence in problem solving skills as well as in communication with both trainee and management staff. Working knowledge of content development applications, systems and tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate360, and LMS experience), AI tools in the eLearning/Training area Fluent in English, additional languages preferred. Willingness to travel worldwide to Clario locations, clients, business partners and meetings up to 25% of working time. Demonstrates flexibility in daily work. Experience in SOP development and firm knowledge of corporate procedural documents and processes including regulatory requirements. Exercise influence across multiple teams and groups, collaborating to identify solutions that achieve shared successes. Naturally integrates into an existing team and fosters a collaborative, positive team culture. Working conditions: Travel: 0-25% Other: Computer work for long periods of time
