Customer Affairs Data Analytics Intern

Responsibilities

Research Projects

  • Support Universal Services in developing pilot campaigns/case study data collection for outreach method analysis

  • Quality check LIHEAP/Crisis Process documentation and ensure accuracy in its implementation

  • Review of current outreach methods and support research on why customers respond or fail to respond

Data Analysis

  • Manage and send daily grant vouchers/transmittals

  • Maintain data updates to tracking files and regulatory reporting

  • Review data collected from pilot campaigns/case study data to determine effective engagement methods

  • Identify most responsive customers based on historical data and outreach method

  • Leverage data to paint a story that provides practical action items and takeaways

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Psychology OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Public Policy, Psychology or other related field of study

  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well as a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to delicate issues

  • Organizational management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and usually under short deadlines

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Functions are a plus

  • Financial or Economics experience is a plus
