Job Description:

Join General Dynamics IT (GDIT) and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The Code 51 White Collar (Machinery Controls) program is seeking a PLC Programmer to join us in Philadelphia, PA.

In this role, you will design, maintain, and troubleshoot machines that use programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ladder logic code, Python, C#, and LabView as well as other related high level programming languages.

A typical day will include:

• Develop and/or modify computer code in the following languages: C/C++; Java; C#; Visual Basic; MATLAB; and Simulink, as well as other related high level programming languages.

• Perform shipboard software loads on Microsoft/Linux computers/processors VxWorks processors, embedded microprocessors, and circuit level firmware.

• Support a range of integrated developer environments including, Visual Studio, NetBeans, and .NET Framework. Provide input to software team to develop requirements and desired functionality of the control system.

• Document issues, faults, or deficiencies found during software or hardware testing.

Qualifications:

• BS in Science , Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• Strong experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), ladder logic code, C#, and LabView as well as other related high level programming languages

• Experience in software development in engineering and/or control systems using C++ , Microsoft .NET framework , Microsoft Visual Studio to develop, compile, and debug source code in C++/CLI, Managed C++, or C#

• Security+

• Secret clearance
