MMC Corp Captive Analyst in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Captive Analyst will support the Captive Practice in gathering and analyzing data for MMA East/Graham's Captive prospects and clients.

  • Data Management: The Captive Analyst will be responsible for compiling, retaining, cleaning, and organizing data for the Captive Practice.
  • Loss Pick Analysis and Projections: The Captive Analyst will conduct loss pick analyses and projections to help determine optimal retained layer, and to utilize in captive proforma modeling, as well as prospect presentations and proposals.
  • Generate Excess/Reinsurance Estimations: The Captive Analyst will create Excess and Reinsurance Estimations for the purpose of establishing estimated premium in prospect presentations and proposals, and to utilize in captive proforma modeling.
  • Historical Data Analysis: The Captive Analyst will synthesize historical premium data to determine pre-funded estimated deductible picks to account for retentions, and compile data to capture historical loss payouts.
  • Captive Financial Proforma Modeling: The Captive Analyst will assist in and eventually lead Captive financial proforma modeling for Graham's Captive clients, leveraging national tools and resources.
  • Quote Reviews: The Captive Analyst with conduct quote reviews, including financial comparison between various reinsurance and deductible structures, as well as individual cost items.
  • Assist with developing prospect and client presentations and proposals including financial inputs.
  • Serve as a liaison to Production and Account Management for requests regarding client and prospect needs and gathering relevant information.
  • Serve as a liaison to third parties, including Captive Managers, Actuaries, and other key points of contact, regarding timelines, requirements, gathering information, and other requests.
  • Attend meetings related to your position.
  • Pursue a program for professional development.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional finance, accounting, underwriting or actuarial experience required.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance coverages and agency operations strongly preferred.
  • Holds required and appropriate insurance agent's license.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong sense of initiative.
  • Organized with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Graham standard computer applications.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in accordance with the limitations and reporting procedures established by The Graham Company from time to time.
