Robert Half Associate Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our team in the legal industry, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will work closely with all members of our Technology team as well as business stakeholders to achieve firm-wide technical goals that drive value and efficiency. This position involves a range of duties from data cleansing, process automation, and delivery of enhancements to business applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal subject matter expert for the engineering team, particularly in relation to various areas of the business and the data necessary for decision-making.

• Develop high-quality solutions to enhance extensibility, scalability, and efficiency within our configuration-driven data platform.

• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress and potential risks.

• Dig into system events to investigate and resolve defects as required.

• Utilize proficiency in SQL, R, Scala, or Python languages in the development and troubleshooting of applications.

• Adapt to a fast-moving work environment with quick iterations, demonstrating excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver work within tight deadlines.

• Apply systematic thinking to consider edge cases and boundary conditions in all tasks.

• Show motivation for researching new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve our processes and systems.

• Handle complex query authoring and maintain relational databases.

• Leverage knowledge of AWS products such as S3, EC2, Lambda and other cloud tools to optimize our systems and processes.

• Demonstrate skills in Android Development, Atlassian Jira, Backend Development, Bug Tracking, C++, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, API Development, CSS, and Defect Management. Requirements • Proficiency in Android Development

• Experience with Atlassian Jira is essential

• Backend Development skills are required

• Familiarity with Bug Tracking systems

• Profound knowledge in C++ programming language

• Experience in AB Testing

• Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies

• Experience in API Development

• Strong skills in CSS

• Knowledge in Defect Management is crucial

• Legal industry experience is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Strong attention to detail and time management
