Job Description We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Science team and help us build, optimize, deploy, and maintain machine learning systems and pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) production environments for Generative AI and more traditional Machine Learning projects. You will work closely with Data Scientists and other stakeholders to turn Gen AI and machine learning prototypes into production-ready systems, serving and scaling models to support various business use cases. You will also monitor and update models, ensuring robust and reliable model deployments and provide guidance related to best practices for model development and versioning including pull requests, repo management etc.

Key Responsibilities As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: * Design, develop and deploy machine learning systems and pipelines, including Gen AI, using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and technologies. * Implement and automate model testing, deployment, monitoring, and retraining strategies. * Collaborate with Data Scientists and software developers to integrate ML models into production systems. * Build Generative AI applications such as natural language generation, image synthesis, etc., to serve business needs. * Ensure code quality, documentation, and reproducibility of machine learning models. * Research and evaluate new machine learning methods and technologies to improve existing systems and pipelines.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. * At least 2 years of experience in machine learning engineering or related roles. * Experience in a health care related field or working with health care data is a plus. * Proficient in Python and common machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc. * Experience with GCP tools and technologies, such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, AirFlow, etc., or their equivalents in other cloud platforms. * Experience building and deploying machine learning systems and pipelines in production environments. * Experience with model testing, monitoring, and retraining strategies and tools. * Experience with version control, code review and collaboration tools, such as Git, GitHub, etc. * Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Hybrid

Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
