Reference #: 1179208500 BASIC FUNCTION:

Reporting to the Manager Supply and Operations Planning, the Scheduler conducts intermediate level planning and scheduling assignments related to assigned facility under limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Uncompromising attitude towards the safe work performance and environmental impact of the organization, its employees and those who visit. Acts as primary contact with sales, manufacturing and logistics, determining resource constraints and developing plans to achieve customers' needs Reviews computerized inventory of raw materials against present and anticipated requirements. Activates reorder points where judgment determines an anticipated shortfall. Determines and sets scheduling and filling plans several weeks in advance through evaluation of sales forecast, sales orders, and inventory positions. Manages the production schedule and resolves all material and capacity issues within the authority level and communicates solutions Provides accurate and timely information to managers and supervisors concerning issues or conditions which may affect execution of the schedule or plant operations Document all material/capacity issues and possible solutions - escalate issues to the production team as needed Work on tight and often changing deadlines with multiple priority shifts throughout the day Participate in cross-functional teams to improve organizational performance

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience of 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics concentration or equivalent work experience is required APICS Certification or equivalent supply chain is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

An understanding of production scheduling and supply logistics Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a high stress environment Must be comfortable performing tasks and analysis under tight deadlines with constantly changing variables Self-motivated Mid-level to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast paced environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Background in chemistry is helpful. 1-3 years experience in production scheduling. Experience with computerized materials management systems such as SAP,including production planning and materials control functions.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Office based, with up to 10% travel by land and air required. Petroleum processing, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and routing equipment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job conditions require sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 10lbs, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences. Job conditions may require standing, and walking.
