    Job Summary

    Elite Contracting Group is looking for an experienced Locksmith to join one of the fastest-growing full-service security and resiliency solution integration companies in Virginia.  The ideal candidate is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks, keys, and security systems.

    Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer service

  • Install locks, hardware, and security systems in existing buildings and new construction

  • Disassemble and troubleshoots problems with locks and hardware including electric hardware

  • Repairs existing locks and hardware

  • Re-keys and replaces locks and hardware as needed

  • Ensures security systems are working correctly

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Willingness to train and educate fellow teammates

  • Willingness to learn and understand security systems that Elite installs and maintains

    Qualifications and Skills

  • DCJS Locksmith Certification

  • Certified to install and service ADA doors and hardware

  • At least five years experience as a locksmith

  • Extensive knowledge of locks, hardware, and security systems

  • Ability to read blueprints and building plans

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

    Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically able to install and repair locks and related hardware

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times

    Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday 7:00APM - 5:00PM; additional work, including on-call, may be required

  • Must maintain a satisfactory background record

  • Must be willing to travel
