JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the safe operation of various pieces of mining equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Effectively operate a front end loader, dozer, haul truck and/or excavator.

  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on mobile / plant equipment.

  • Deal with customers, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner.

  • Maintains constant awareness of safety, efficiency and displays a flexibility and out of the box thinking with the capability to solve problems.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

  • Willing to work outside in all types of weather.

  • Prior experience working in a mining environment preferred.

  • Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment.

  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

  • The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

  • Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
