Kwest Senior Equipment Accountant Position Description

Position: Sr. Equipment Accountant – Construction

Report to: CFO

Job Description Overview

The Equipment Accountant will help the Kwest Group’s leadership team analyze the economic health of the organization, through accurate and timely financial reports and counsel. As a member of the accounting team, the primary responsibilities of this position are to carry out equipment costing duties, as well as to assist with preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Equipment purchase orders.

• Generate metrics for the CFO and Director of Equipment Operations.

• Ensure all invoices are coded to proper categories.

• Under-utilization analysis and entries.

• Track, monitor, and maintain company-issued fuel cards. Monitor and report on monthly allocations.

• Track and monitor vehicle allowance and compliance.

• EZ Pass management.

• Equipment budgets.

• Help create, monitor, respective journal entries.

• Tracking equipment leases, loans, purchasing.

• Fixed assets:

• Track and confer with Auditors.

• Depreciation analyzing and reporting.

• Assist in the development of internal rates.

• IFTA tax tracking and quarterly filing.

• Cost savings analysis & reporting.

• Track and monitor equipment damage .

• Equipment invoice entry.

  Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Prior equipment accounting experience is preferred.

• Prior high-level analysis of cost and procedures is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Must be able to pass a background & drug test.

• Ability to travel to client meetings, conferences, and regional/divisional offices.

• Travel may include air travel and overnight hotel stays.

• This position is based on a 45–55-hour workweek.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
