BIG TOP MANUFACTURING Vinyl Fabrication Operator in Perry, Florida

[The Vinyl Fabrication Operator reports directly to the Vinyl Fabrication Supervisor. Vinyl Fabrication Operators are responsible for achieving immediate and short-term production objectives laid down by the Vinyl Fabrication Supervisor. This position requires near perfect attendance and punctuality. Employees are expected to be in their department area before the shift starts. Reasonable overtime hours may be required to meet production needs.

  • Ensure all parts are produced on time and are of good quality.
  • Verify vinyl type and color against sketches before running.
  • Measure and mark vinyl to ensure accuracy.
  • Correctly label covers and end panels.
  • Minimize material waste.
  • Responsible for care and preventive maintenance of the equipment in use.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report violations, accidents and near misses to supervisor.
  • Assist in the training of new personnel on safety, production, and quality standards and procedures.
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in your area and the entire facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Team Player.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Read and understand complex sketches (on-the-job training provided).
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification within three months (on-the-job training provided).
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and how to properly use them.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16".
  • Proficient in math, both decimal and inch calculations.
  • Ability to follow company safety procedures and processes.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One-year work history or military service with honorable discharge preferred.
