Springfield Clinic, one of the largest multi-specialty physician owned medical practices in Illinois, is currently seeking a CRNA/Nurse Anesthetist for our new surgery center in Peoria, Illinois.
Job Duties
This position is located in our Peoria Ambulatory Surgery & Endoscopy Center
No nights, weekends or holidays. No call.
Team Centered Department with 1 anesthesiologist and multiple CRNAs.
The center has 4 surgical suites with potential for growth
Compensation and Benefits
$230,000-$270,000 annually plus Sign on Bonus
33 days of paid time off

Job Relationships
- Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
Documentation of care rendered reflecting standards of nurse anesthesia practice.
Records kept legible, accurate and in a timely manner.
Account of all monitoring agents and unusual events
Maintain proficiency with anesthesia and adjunct equipment.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Understand medications used in current anesthesia practice, dosages and side effects.
Recognize patient's physical as well as psychological needs and take measures to comfort the patient.
Recognize and adjust anesthesia requirements based on surgical needs and patient condition.
Transfer care and give report to qualified health care practitioner at end of case.
Recognize and report adverse post-anesthetic outcomes to Anesthesiologist.
Participate in efforts to improve the quality of care rendered.
Make use of time, equipment and supplies to minimize costs and achieve established clinical outcomes.
Collaborate to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Maintain professional behavior, participate in problem solving with peers.
Attend all OSHA and Clinic/Director specified mandatory in-services.
Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Completed AANA-approved course in Anesthesia.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or new graduate eligible for certification
Licenses/Certificates
ACLS and PALS certification per policy
Current CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines.
Licensed as an RN/Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Illinois

The Springfield Clinic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) functions as a healthcare provider who, working collaboratively with a physician(s), is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients. Some specialties may require a dual role of outpatient and inpatient setting. He/she demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses. He/she is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical/nursing clinical knowledge, communication and interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism and systems-based practice. He/she works with administrative, nursing, physician, and hospital faculty to assure safe, effective, quality patient care and to promote Springfield Clinic’s educational and healthcare missions.
In positions requiring hospital based care, the APP is eligible to begin practice after he/she is credentialed and privileged by those facilities and the Medical Staff office. Active hospital privileges will be required and reviewed every two years to maintain employment.
All other APPs are eligible to begin practice after he/she is credentialed and privileged by Springfield Clinic with renewal every two years in order to maintain employment within their specialty.
