Summary You will serve as a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the FLEET READINESS BRANCH of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS. Responsibilities You will provide subject matter expertise with responsibility for development, sustainment, and governance of the U.S. Navy readiness analytical models. You will develop new algorithms and tools to support data manipulation and findings. You will advise on relevant research and analytical studies to resolve critical operational problems and readiness initiatives. You will provide readiness-related briefings to senior level officials and submit mandatory reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing the automation and transmission of data; 2) Identifying methods, processes, algorithms, tools, and systems to extract and interpret findings from various structured and unstructured data sets; 3) Applying knowledge in mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and other scientific principles, data analysis, and data visualization; and 4) Interpreting policies promulgated from higher authorities and briefs.
