Outpatient Manager Opportunity

E merald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to children, adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active-duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression.

The Outpatient Services Manager coordinates all clinical services provided to patients in the Outpatient Department. Provides on-site leadership and daily direction for the clinical programming and financial success. Duties include staff supervision, scheduling, crisis intervention and the provision for individual and group therapy.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of group leadership and counseling skills, 12 Step Program, psychopathology, cognitive-behavioral model, case management, crisis and behavior management, Military protocols and standards.

  • Establishes and oversees the therapeutic environment of the department as evidenced through supervision and patient feedback.

  • Responsible to ensure that all departmental charting is complete the day of service, and all initial documentation is completed and filed correctly in patients record.

  • Ensures staff is knowledgeable and competent to perform duties by providing orientation, training and continuing education as reflected in departmental policies and records.

  • Completes all staff performance appraisal forms. Meets with staff members on an ongoing basis to review performance and provide feedback, guidance and instruction as needed.

  • Assists Risk Management with investigations regarding patient care and reported abuse and/or neglect. Complies with standards, policies/procedures, laws and regulations.

  • Provides input in developing, communicating and revising policies and procedures, and forms for the Outpatient program to include input on day-to-day operations.

  • Monitors department staffing on an ongoing basis and adjusts staffing as needed.

  • Maintains 100% staff compliance in completion of all patient charting, as outlined in the administrative Policy Manual and as required by Emerald Coast, The Joint Commission and AHCA. Ensures 100% staff compliance with required training such as Healthstream, CPR, VDE, and CPI.

  • Ensures each patient receives all required treatment services to include individual therapy and medication management sessions weekly as required by insurances.

  • Contribute to program development designed to meet joint goals. Contribute to performance improvement and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Performs marketing, outreach and development function to maintain positive and open relations with all community resources and referral sources.

  • Responsible for business office functions to include reporting, supply management, etc. Complies and distributes daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Responsible for updating patient census, upfront collections, and calendars daily.

  • Responsible for Utilization Review functions to include insurance verification, obtaining initial authorization for services, and ensuring concurrent review are completed by appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring all insurance documentation is uploaded into Midas and insurance verification is checked on the first day of each month for each current patient in treatment.

  • May perform Therapist duties to include Transcranial Manual Stimulation(TMS) based on education and licensure.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other Human Service field.

  • Active Florida State license as LMHC or LCSW.

  • Two year’s experience in clinical setting or like experience in healthcare setting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work at our Pensacola Outpatient Center located in Pensacola, Fl.
