Jacobs Mid-Level CMMS and Asset Management Engineer in Pensacola, Florida

We are seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to support our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and asset management projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in backend database management with SQL, GIS administration, geospatial analysis, Python scripting, and experience with Cartegraph asset management software. This role involves managing SQL databases, administering GIS systems, conducting geospatial analysis, and providing technical support for Cartegraph.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Backend Database Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases for CMMS and asset management applications.

• Conduct regular database maintenance, including backups, updates, and performance tuning.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Assist in database schema design and data modeling.

  1. GIS Administration:

• Administer GIS systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Configure and maintain GIS software and databases, integrating them with CMMS and asset management systems.

• Perform spatial data analysis, create geospatial data visualizations, and support GIS data management.

  1. Geospatial Analysis:

• Conduct geospatial analysis to support asset management and maintenance decision-making.

• Utilize GIS tools to analyze spatial relationships and generate actionable insights.

• Develop and maintain geospatial data layers and maps for project and operational needs.

  1. Python Scripting:

• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating data processing and integration tasks.

• Write scripts to enhance the functionality of CMMS and GIS systems.

• Assist in the development of custom tools and automation solutions.

  1. Cartegraph Support:

• Implement, configure, and maintain Cartegraph software for asset management.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cartegraph-related issues.

• Assist with data migration, integration, and configuration tasks involving Cartegraph.

• Document and maintain Cartegraph system configurations and customizations.

  1. Project Support:

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery and support.

• Contribute to project documentation, including technical specifications and reports.

• Provide training and support to users as needed

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend database management, GIS administration, geospatial analysis, Python scripting, and working with asset management software, particularly Cartegraph.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL database design, management, and optimization.

• Experience with GIS administration and geospatial analysis using tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS.

• Strong knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.

• Hands-on experience with Cartegraph asset management software.

Project Support Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support project objectives.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud-based database and GIS solutions.

• Experience with other asset management software or GIS platforms.

• Certification in GIS, SQL, or related technologies.
